Address: via Vittorio Veneto and the ascent to Monte delle Ss. Marie

This group of XX-century tabernacles consists of 16 structures, which are placed along the via Vittorio Veneto and along the ascent that leads to the cemetery on the Monte delle Ss. Marie. Inside each tabernacle we can see terracotta plaques with the images of the Mysteries of the Rosary as well as other allegorical scenes. All the tabernacles are made of stone and brick masonry with a brick covering. The inscription on the first tabernacle says: “due to the initiative of the entire population of Impruneta, the 15 little chapels of the Rosary, that start in this place to eventually reach the Monte delle Sante Marie, have been given the antique magnificence, as a sign of the imperishable inaugural memory of the image of the miraculous Madonna di Impruneta. We remember with our devotion its last translation which took place on the 18th October 1714 and returned to the hill, through a solemn procession on the 14th June 1970 in the presence of the Cardinal the Archbishop of Florence e. Florit”.
